Applications For Your Smartphone
There is almost an application that can have you and your mobile doing just about anything. It really can make you feel absolutely connected to your phone and leave you wondering how you will ever live without it. With applications springing up everywhere that can have you doing just about anything, it can have you looking at your smart phone like it is a best friend.
One great application to load is called the Shazam. This allows you to listen to a song and if you want to know more about the music, you can simply get into the Shazam application. This program will listen to the song, analysis its content and give you the name and track of the song and allow you to buy it from a music source.
Box Net is another nifty application that gives you free access of up to 16 GB of file space. That means that you can store files and documents to your smart phone and not have to worry about memory space.
Check please is another great tool. It can calculate the bill for you and determine who pays what, when you are going with friends and it also calculates the tip. This is a nice application to have; especially when people tend to go out for meals quite frequently. The only thing is trouble might arise if everyone`s smart phones begin to tell those different amounts.
Evernote is an application that gives you the opportunity to snap a quick photo or record a message and lets you keep it for later. You can file your messages and photos and store them for an unlimited amount of time.
The Clap and seek application is perfect if you are the kind of person who is always losing your phone. You just clap and it beeps, the only trouble is if you take it to a comedy festival or your child`s ballet recital. Unless you remember to turn off that particular application.
There is also an application called quick gas. When you want to know where to get gas fast, you just log into the application and your GPS will get you to the gas station in no time. You can even ask for the nearest coffee shop and specify what kind of coffee you want. It would be awesome if there was an application that had the coffee ready and paid for when you go there!
Another application called `detect metal` gives you the chance to find your lost keys, or other metal device when they are lost. You simply hook into the program and the phone will beep and vibrate when it is close to the metal object. This application is perfect for anyone who loses keys.
The smart phone can really be a smart and innovative tool. It can almost act like a mini robot that can answer on your every whim. The only problem is that a new generation might become so accustomed to all of these smart programs that they may never know what it was like without these services, leaving them heavily reliant on mobile applications to even function.

What is an Android Phone?
It's known as the T-Mobile G1 Android, the Android Phone, the G1 Phone, or (more informally) the Google Phone.
The G1 Phone integrates fully with your Google accounts. Here are a few of the features and capabilities of this new cell phone:
* An Android phone allows you to browse the Internet just as you would on a normal computer.
* It allows one to run several applications at the same time, on one phone. You can switch between applications, and you can also be notified when something new occurs on one of those applications.
* It allows you to chat and share photos on applications such as Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, etc.
* It allows you to copy URLs and share them with friends via a chat line, using a simple touch-screen interface.
The following Google applications can be accessed and used directly by the Android Phone:
* Google Maps
* YouTube
* Gmail
* Contacts
* Calendar
* IM (Instant Message)
All of these Google applications will be available to you with a single logon - and they will automatically be synchronized with the web. What that means is that any change you make in one of your google accounts from your phone will also show up the next time you log on from any other computer.
For example, when you are out and about with your phone and you meet a new contact, you might want to save their contact information. All you do is save it into your Google Contacts on your G1 phone. That information will be available to you any time online, in your Gmail account, and in any other applicable Google account, and you can access it through any computer in the world which is connected to the Internet.
Any information you save on your phone in this way will appear on your computer as well - and vice-versa.
If you lose or break your phone, you won't lose your information. Your data will be there waiting for you on your Google account, which you can access the next time you are online. And there is no need to worry about your information being stolen, as its password-protected.
Here is another example of the a use of a Google Android phone. Once you have a contact address saved into your Google account, you can easily find that location on a map - using Google Maps, of course. And what's more, you can access street level events in any area where this is available.
This makes it a breeze to get directions to a new location! Simply find your contact on a a map with a couple of clicks, and use a street-level view to find your way if needed!
Another example of the use of the this phone is the integration of the cell phone with your Google Calendar. Any event you save on your Google Calendar will be available to you on your phone, wherever you are. So you can access your schedule easily, on the go and from anywhere, as long as you have your phone with you.
No more schedule books! And you can probably say goodbye to those tiny notebooks and pads of paper you carry around to save your information.
What's more, once you save information on your Android phone, there's no need to transfer it over after you get home. Its all there, safely stored on your Google account, for ready access whenever you need it.

There are three kinds of most common used mobile phone batteries such as nickel metal-hydride as they are low in weight and size. Lithium-ion as they are lighter and do not have voltage depression and lithium-polymer batteries as they are lower weight and make the battery a shape other than strict rectangular prism.
In addition to the battery, All GSM mobile phones require a small microchip called a SIM card Or Subscriber Identity Module, to function. It is placed underneath the battery of a mobile phone in the rear unit approximately the size of a postage stamp and when properly activated the phone configures the data and information about the mobile phone. Other mobile phones do not use a SIM Card can be activated by using a special digit to access the NAM or Name or programming menu.

Cellular Phone Battery - DOs andDONTs
As you may be aware, there are three different types of materials that are used to make a cellular phone battery. The metals are nickel metal hydride, nickel cadmium and lithium ion. The lithium ion cellular phone battery is the most widely used because it has the longest battery life, reportedly 3 to 5 hours of talk time. They can also be recharged around 200 times before you need to purchase a new one. When you replace your cellular phone battery, make sure to dispose of the old one at the correct hazardous waste place or hand over to a store that accepts old batteries.
Please note that the cellular phone battery should be stored at room temperature as extreme heat or extreme cold can damage it. Make it a point to wait till the battery has completely run dry before recharging. Read carefully the instructions on charging and recharging the cellular phone battery and make sure you do not overcharge the battery. When purchasing a replacement cellular phone battery, it is better to buy only OEM (original equipment manufacturer) batteries. OEM batteries may be more expensive, but they are still worth the cost.
You can charge up your cellular phone battery with an AC adapter (desktop charger) or car adapter charger. You will be required to buy the car adapter separately but buy the car charger from the same store wherefrom you bought the cell phone. Make sure you check the make and model number so that you buy the correct one for your phone. You have to take care to prevent memory effect. Keep the battery healthy by fully charging and then fully discharging it at least once every three weeks or at least once a month. Exceptions to the rule are Li-Ion batteries, which do not suffer from the memory effect. Do not leave the battery dormant for long periods of time.
Make it a point to always use a battery charger, which is by the same battery manufacturer as your phone – as that way it gives battery more life and also safeguards if you overcharge your battery now and then. To keep the battery clean, it is a good idea to clean the battery contacts with a cotton swab and alcohol. Please remember that the vibrator mode of your cell phone consumes more battery charge, so when not needed, it is preferable to use the ring-tone mode. Yet another point to remember, if you do not plan on using the battery for a month or more, store it in a clean, dry, cool place away from heat and metal objects. Batteries tend to de-charge when not in use, so make sure you charge them again before using.

How to Determine the Best Cell Phone and Service Plan for Your Particular Needs
To get started, think of what type of coverage you'll require. You'll want to check all the major carriers and have a look at their coverage maps to make sure you'll have service in the places you visit most.
The next important step is looking at the various rates that a company might have to offer. You'll want to be sure and compare between every carrier that you've narrowed your options down to. Several factors come into play here such as text messaging charges, mobile to mobile coverage and charges, internet plans and international rates.
If you find that you'll be doing a lot of communicating via text message you might want to check all the carriers plans for unlimited text and picture messaging. The rates on that can vary from company to company and can run anywhere from $9.95 a month to $39.95 a month.
If you think you'll require internet service on your cell phone, you'll need to examine the companies individually for hidden fees or ridiculously priced connectivity charges.
Some carriers offer what appears to be a nice and fair rate for internet connectivity all the while masking the fact that they will charge you extra each byte of data you download or load from a web site. You should make sure you thoroughly examine the internet plans that each carrier offers to make sure you'll be getting the best for your buck.
Another factor when choosing a carrier is minute sharing. If you're only looking to have one phone line, any of the various carriers can be perfect for you and the above mentioned factors will be your major obstacles. If you plan to have multiple lines added for family members or loved ones, you will need to carefully examine the minute sharing plans.
Some carriers may have rates that seem fair for your needs until you find that each line may only be allotted a certain amount of minutes each month as opposed to simply allotting a set amount of minutes to a plan and the overage charges apply only after all of the minutes have been used as opposed to overage charges being applied when one of the lines goes over their allotted minutes.
Some carriers offer convenient features that allow you to select a few numbers you call the most, regardless of whether the number is connected to another mobile carrier or landline service, for free.
Usually plans such as this mean the calls made to those numbers will count as free minutes and will not subtract from your monthly allotment of minutes. These plans are quite popular with families who are spread out everywhere in the world or country and like to keep in contact. Plans such as this are often quite popular with teenage customers for keeping up with all their friends at once.
Yet another feature you may want to look into is the "rollover" feature some companies provide. What "rollover" minutes do is simply that, "roll over" to the next month of service time if you haven't used them all yet. This can come in handy when one is planning to be out of town one month and know they'll require extra minutes or when some months are known to be less heavy talk times for that person and others are incredibly talk heavy.
And the final thing you'll need to look into is how many minutes you will require. This varies from customer to customer and is pretty easily determined. If you will be using the phone for emergency use only, you might want to check into any of the various pre-paid phone services available from multiple carriers today.
If you will be using the phone as a secondary line for use while away from home or the office, then a smaller amount of minutes should be fine for your needs. If you know that the phone will be your primary means of communication, you should definitely look into the larger minute plans available.
Determining the phone that's best for you isn't that daunting when you simply break it down. Many customers are immediately drawn to a phone's outward appearance but the truth is just because a phone looks nice doesn't mean it's a reliable phone.
You need to check into what the phone does. Will you want a camera on your phone? How much battery life do you require from your from your phone? Will you need to access the internet from your phone? How compact do you want your phone to be? These are all options you should weigh when making your decision before appearance.
All carriers show a detailed breakdown of what each phone does on their websites and any customer service representative over the phone or in the store can generally break it down for you if you're still unsure. Choosing the right phone for you is actually an easier task than you originally thought.
And now, you're all set to face the wide world of cellular services and make an informed decision about what phone and plan is best for you.

Samsung - The History
When we talk about businesses that have humble beginning, then the history of Samsung can serve as the perfect example. It all started on March 1, 1938 when Byung-Chull Lee, the founding chairman of Samsung initiated a business in Korea with a capital of only 30,000 won. The primary products of what was then Samsung were dried Korean fish, fruits, and vegetables traded from Beijing and Manchuria.
For the etymology of Samsung, it has the root words "three stars." The business or Mr. Lee expanded and it had acquired confectionary machines, increased its sales operations and as we have known at present it has become a global corporation that is now offering various brands, products, around the world. The Samsung Electronics that mainly produces Samsung mobile phones and other mobile phone deals today is similar to the Samsung Company that existed in the 1970s.
In the 1970s, the strategic foundations of Samsung became more established when it engaged itself to various investments in petrochemical industries and in 1974 it continued to expand its business as Samsung Shipbuilding Company. And then Samsung entered the production of home electronics business apart from the semiconductor manufacturing industry it acquired hereafter.
The Samsung Mobile Phones Kick Off
It has no doubt that Samsung became diversified when it comes to products and services. However, the breakthrough of Samsung products became sensationalized when it entered once again the telecommunications industry. It has become known for its innovations and was proclaimed as the world's second largest vendor of mobile phones.
Though Samsung Electronics has gained corporate affairs in other business areas such as the digital media, the semiconductors, the LCD, and the digital appliance, the telecommunication network business area of Samsung became a record breaker. Samsung has been producing cellular devices that include mobile phones, PDA phones, and the most innovative of them all the Mobile Intelligent Terminals which are considered hybrid devices. Even satellite receivers became a part of Samsung's telecommunication network.
Samsung and its mobile phone deals have successfully laid its foundation in becoming a world class company in the previous years. In 2006 alone, it has achieved the following accomplishments for mobile phones production and innovation:
• Developed the world's first ever OneDRAMTM
• 10 million sales record breaker in the United States for mobile phones
• Introduced the 10M pixel for camera mobile phones
• Revealed the fastest HSDPA phone and system in the world
• Commenced and completed the manufacturing plant in India for mobile phones
The present line up of Samsung mobile phones which comes with excellent mobile phone deals include the most beautiful technology mobiles namely: SGH-E950, SGH-E840, and SGH-J600. the latest luxurious mobile phones introduced in Singapore are known for its stylish designs, innovative and excellent features, that all comes with high-tech multimedia features. The striking designs and uncompromised features, functions, and performances of Samsung mobile phones will continue to rule the mobile phone industry around the world.

Motorola - The History
Going back to the history of Motorola, Inc. when it was still called Galvin Manufacturing Corporation, electronic devices and other products that run on electricity were manufactured and produced.
As for the name Motorola, the etymology is from the word ‘motor' which means for car and the word ‘ola' which means sound. Before Motorola mobile phones dominate the telecommunication industry, Galvin production concentrated on producing radios and receivers for vehicles until they manufactured televisions in 1947. It was also in 1947 that the company changed its name from Galvin Manufacturing to Motorola as it continues to produce communication mediums, mobile phones are yet to be introduced.
The historical influence of Motorola products was even included in the expedition to the moon when Neil Armstrong communicated from space to the earth using the Motorola Radio. And it was in 1969 that Motorola radio equipment equipped the operations of National American Space Agency or NASA.
The Motorola mobile phone was finally introduced in 1973 when the Motorola had the first demonstration of its first mobile. And for the record of behind the scenes events, the first Motorola mobile phone deals were in fact operated using radio technology and computer technology. From then on, Motorola mobile phone deals have gone smaller and smaller and more stylish and innovative until it reached our present generation.
The first ever Motorola that has small features and weighed only 88 grams was the StarTAC which until now is considered to be light among other mobile phones. The innovation and evolution of more Motorola mobile phone deals never stop and in 2000 Motorola and General Instrument Corporation has been united to develop and improve their services until they came up with Motorola v60 and then introduced it in the market. The Motorola v60 mobile phone is in fact considered as the first ever metal mobile phone that was made available to other cellular networks such as CDMA, GSM, and TDMA.
More and more Motorola mobile phone deals are introduced in the market and Cross-Technology or PoC product line extended the features and services of Motorola. The feature "push to talk" connectivity became just a minor innovation when more powerful interactivity features were introduced. Such features include the GPRS, CDMA2000, 1X, and the power of WIFi network technology.
Motorola also engage itself in expanding its connectivity through broadband connectivity and the video phone that are seen in Motorola mobile phone deals that have video phones.
As for the new line up of Motorola mobile phones that will hit the market directly to its heart, Motorola mobile phones are now comprised of W230, ROKR380, Motorola Q9h together with the newest Motorola devices software, applications, and services.

Nokia - The History
Nokia's Humble Beginning
In 1895, Fredrik Idestam established a wood-pulp mill, which is now known as the Nokia Corporation. It was first based in the south western Finland town called Tampere but was later relocated to Nokia town so that the company can use the Nokianvirta river. This river is believed to have better hydropower production. The river is where the company's name, Nokia, originated.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of the 20th century, Finnish Rubber Works began establishing its factories. This company acquired the Nokia Wood Mills and also acquired a company producing telegraph and telephone cables, the Finish Cable Works. The merging of these three companies in 1967 led to the creation of the Nokia Corporation.
The new company tried producing many products like papers, bicycle, car tires, personal computers, footwear, communication cables, electricity generation machineries, televisions, aluminium, capacitors, and a lot more.
Shift to Mobile Communication Tools
Nokia started producing military as well as commercial mobile radio communications technology in the 1960s. It was in 1964 when the company started to create VHF-radio with Salora Oy. The two companies started to develop mobile phones for the NMT network standard. In 1982, they introduced their first car phone called the Mobira Senator, which weighted 9.8 kg.
In 1984, the merging with Salora Oy made the company to create its telecommunication branch named Nokia-Mobira Oy. In the same year, the company also launched the Mobira Talkman, the world's first transportable phone.
Nokia introduced one of the world's first handheld phones in 1987 and this was called Mobira Cityman 900. During those days, the Cityman is one of the most light-weight phones having only about 800 g. But its tag price is approximately 4,500 Euros. Although that was very expensive, Cityman was still considered a success.
The GSM Involvement
In 1988, Nokia Mobile Phone emerged from the Nokia Mobira Oy. After three years, the first Global Systems for Mobile Communications or GSM phone was introduced.
In 1992, the company decided to focus more on the telecommunications business. In the same year, Nokia launched its first GSM handset, which is the Nokia 1011. It was in 1994 that the Nokia tune was launched. It was the Nokia 2100 that featured this famous classic phone tune.
The success of Nokia continued until the world's first satellite call was made in 1994 using a Nokia mobile phone. And in 1997, Nokia introduced a classic game highly associated with the company-Snake.
Finally, in 1998, Nokia mobile phones became the world's leader. After a year, the company moved to further innovation with its launching of the first WAP handset in the world, the Nokia 7110.
Recent Success of Nokia
Nokia mobile phones continue to be one of the best and most innovative in the world. This was proven in 2002 with the company's launching of Nokia 6650, its first 3G phone. The company even had its billion sales when it was able to sell billion units of Nokia 1100.
Nokia Corporation is also recognized in the world today as the fifth most valued brand.
From 1865 until today, Nokia continues to create mark on the mobile phone industry. Innovation is always at the top of this company and its history proved its fearless business moves that led it to its massive success.

A Quick Guide to Unlocking Mobile Phones
I remember back before I knew any better, the battery in my cell phone wasn’t holding a charge, so I took it back to the store where I bought it. They informed me that it would be cheaper to buy another phone and sign a new contract than to buy a fully charging battery. I didn’t want another phone, as I had four already, but I also didn’t want to spend more that I had to. So I got yet another brand new phone and signed a new agreement for two more years. If I had known then what I know now, I would have simply unlocked my phone. Here’s how it works:
Every cell phone has an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI), a serial number that connects a phone to its service. An IMEI also connects the phone’s owner to the phone. The IMEI is the “tape” that connects the phone subscriber to the service.
Now, inside most cell phones is a removable Subscriber Information Module, or SIM for short. A SIM is a card that also connects the phone to the owner (subscriber) and simultaneously the phone to the service. Many cell service companies will lock the SIM so the phone will only work with their service. This is why you need to buy a new phone when you switch wireless phone companies. This is true no matter how much you paid for the phone- and you may never be able to use it with a different service provider, no matter how many calls they drop.
When you unlock your phone, you can use any cell phone service you choose, plus you’ll get rid of the roaming charges threat and be able to get more cash if you’d like to sell your phone. Your new, unlocked phone will be legal attachment-free. Of course, if you have a contract with a provider, legally you are fully responsible to fulfill all obligations with said company, including payment and length of contract.
If you wanted to unlock your cell phone in the not so distant past, you had to send your phone out to a company and have them perform the service. But recent technological advances and e-mail have brought this service directly into your home. Many companies who provide such a mobile phone unlocking service can get you the “secret code” to unlock your phone based on your IMEI and send it to you via email. You don’t even have to wait for the postal carrier to show up- just for your computer to boot up.

Unlock Your Phone? Here's Why and How
Whether you buy your cell phone or it’s considered “free” after rebates and such, every mobile phone has a “serial number” that’s referred to in the industry as an IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity). This number connects a particular phone to a service. At the same time, it connects the subscriber (you) to the phone, so in the long run you (the subscriber) are directly connected to a cell phone subscriber.
Inside the majority of these phones is a removable card called the SIM (Subscriber Information Module). This card also connects the phone to the subscriber (you) and the phone to the service. Many cell service providers will put a lock on the SIM so that the phone at hand will only work with their service. Even if you used your hard-earned money to pay for this new phone, the cell company can force you to use their service. This hardly seems fair, doesn’t it? This is why it’s a good idea to unlock your cell phone.
By unlocking your cell phone, you will be able to use any cell phone service provider that you’d like. In addition, you’re getting rid of roaming charges completely while increasing the resale value of your phone. Basically, you have a clear phone with no legal attachments to any one location. As long as the unlocking is done right, your phone should operate fine and your service would go on as normal.
A note worth a mention: If you have a service contract with a particular provider, complying with its terms and conditions (including any maintenance fees) is par for the course. A contract is a legally binding agreement and it would definitely be in your best interest to follow along until the end.
It wasn’t all that long ago that a cell phone owner needed to send their phone away to a reputable company to do the cell phone unlocking for them. But times are changing, and recent advances allow cell phones to be unlocked with a “secret code” based on the mobile phone service provider and the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity). This way of unlocking is not only more cost efficient, but much quicker, too. Instead of waiting for the mail to come, close to immediate results are granted with an email address and the downloading of a mobile phone unlocking kit.

Be Careful When Your Buy Or Sell A Used Cell Phone
In the case of one woman, she was contacted by the new owner of her old cell phone asking her to call the carrier and have the phone activated. She had no idea that her phone was going to be sold or that all of her information would end up still in the phone when it was sold. The owner of the cell phone store where she made the transaction claims that the company did not make any money off of her phone and did not defraud her.
Of course if you are going to be selling or buying a cell phone you should make sure that all of your information is erased from the phone before you hand it over to anyone. If you have the type of phone that uses a SIM card, make sure that you take it out before you sell or donate it. Don't forget to get rid of your text messages and any photos that you may have stored in your phone.
Check with your carrier to find out if your phone can even be reactivated. This will help the future owners down the road.
When you are purchasing a new cell phone make sure that you get the ESN number from the phone first. Call your service provider and make sure that there is not a problem with activating this phone. The company that is trying to sell you the phone should not have a problem with you checking it out. The phone will also have to be compatible with your service provider. Make sure that there is nothing that will prevent you from turning on the phone.
It is always best to make sure that the phone is going to work before you pay for it. Check everything out and you should not have a problem buying a used cell phone.
